This design reimagines the iconic Cheshire Cat through an Indigenous woodland lens, blending surreal storytelling with bold, contemporary expression. Created as part of my Woodlands Meets Wonderland capsule collection for Red Rebel Armour, the piece transforms a familiar character into something layered with cultural perspective and visual contrast.

As an Oji-Cree designer, this work reflects an ongoing exploration of merging pop culture with Indigenous visual language. Unlike traditional woodland palettes, the colours in this piece are vibrant and unexpected, pushing away from earthy tones to embrace a more surreal, high-contrast aesthetic that mirrors the whimsical nature of Wonderland.
